Ann O'Reilly
I have lived in the London Borough of Ealing for over 30 years and as a recently retired Primary School Head Teacher, I wanted to become a School Governor to support a school in the vital role they have in supporting children's academic and social development.
When visiting Oldfield I was immediately impressed with positivity and zest for learning demonstrated by the pupils. I am therefore looking forward to working as a governor in supporting the school as it continues its journey of self-improvement.

Having been a part of education for nearly two decades, I feel that now is the time for me to get involved and be a part of the journey of another school. As a governor, my role will focus on supporting the Head as he manages the school and responds to the various accountability measures, so that all strategic decisions are centred around the best interest of the pupils of Oldfield Primary. I am the Headteacher of a two form entry school in Ealing, and I feel that my own first-hand experience and personal expertise will benefit the academic development, pupil engagement and overall culture of the school.
Currently I am pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from University College London, which focuses on executive leadership. This has helped to deepen my understanding of the educational landscape and introduced me to range of research behind innovative practices in teaching and techniques of collaborative professional development. I hope to bring these knowledge and skills to the governing body for continued success and growth of Oldfield Primary.

My association with the school began as a parent in 2018. I currently have a child attending Oldfield Primary School. In May 2019, I was co-opted as a School Governor and feel very proud to be part of the Governing Body. I lived and worked near the school for the vast majority of my life therefore I have a personal interest in the success of the school and the local community. I am also a local Councillor in a neighbouring Borough where I represent the Children, Families and Education Select Committee. My areas of expertise are School Finance, Budget Monitoring, Early Years, Parenting, Safeguarding and Child Protection.
I am a graduate in Marketing & Business Management and completed a level 3 in Childcare. I have worked part of the senior leadership teams within the public sector for over 20 years. Some of the positions I’ve held within the education sector consist of working as a Business Development Manager, Equality and Diversity Officer, Centre Manager for Hillingdon Adult Education, School Business Manager in a Primary School and Head of Children Centres. Vast majority of my experience has been working with Children and families through various roles. I am very committed to improving outcomes for young children and their families thus reduce inequalities in education.
Having worked in the education sector for many years I’ve gained comprehensive understanding of the sector from early years to higher education. I enjoy working with children and providing parental support. I strongly believe; what a child experiences in early childhood has a huge impact on how he or she will grow, develop physically and mentally, think, feel and behave therefore it is essential for every child to have the opportunity to develop to its full potential and every child matters to me.

My name is Hannah Abdulai and I am a Head of the Pharmacovigilance Department at a Pharmaceutical Company. My daughter is currently in Year 2 at Oldfield Primary School. My team and I process and investigate reports of side effects experienced by patients on behalf of my company. We also keep Health Authorities around the world aware of these incidents and advise on the best actions to take to keep patients safe. This involves performing ongoing detailed reviews of data on the products and the patients taking them.
I have always enjoyed working and socializing with people from a broad range of backgrounds. This has enabled me to develop empathy for people and situations far removed from my own. I enjoy living in the Northolt area, which is very multicultural. I have been actively supporting Oldfield Primary school activities and enjoy getting to know and work with other parents.
As a parent governor, I look forward to working with Mr. McCormack, the Oldfield Primary teachers and other governors to continue to make the school a provider of good quality education for all children in the locality.
When I'm not working, I like cooking, gardening and small-scale DIY projects.

I am a mother of three children, two of whom currently attend Oldfield Primary School. I have an Aeronautical Engineering background and am a Senior Programme Manager at an Aerospace company.
I have a genuine interest in children’s education and how it is delivered effectively. The interests include what facilities are available in delivering an effective education to all the children.
I have a keen eye for detail and have great planning and negotiating skills. In my profession, effective communication and building good relationships across a wide range of disciplines is key. Delivering Programmes to time and within budget forms part of my role which I believe could be of benefit to the school.
The skills developed during my career so far mean I am able to communicate effectively and resolve issues/problems. I have great interpersonal skills and build positive relationships with a range of people. I have experience in talking to a number of different Stakeholders and Companies
I look forward to being able to offer a range of skills that would benefit the school. I would also bring a different viewpoint to the table and therefore offer alternative solutions to potential problems/scenarios. I am easy to approach and have been approached by a number of Parents in the playground so I plan to be the voice of the Parents by representing their viewpoints or raising any matters that may be of concern.
